"Save 2025" Program

The new cycle of the “Exoikonomo” program has begun; it will now be called “Exoikonomo 2025,” with a budget of 434 million euros and a financial assistance rate starting at 50%, while in some cases covering up to 100% of the investment cost. The program aims to benefit tens of thousands of households across the country by helping them upgrade their homes for energy efficiency! If you own a primary residence and want to make improvements that will save energy and enhance your home’s energy self-sufficiency, read on to find out everything you need to know to get your subsidy!

  • Application & Deadlines

Funding applications will be submitted exclusively online through Exoikonomo Advisors, from January 8, 2025, through March 20, 2025, and must be submitted via the program’s official website— https://exoikonomo2025.gov.gr .

The beneficiaries’ projects (physical and financial scope) must be completed within eight (8) months of the date the decision to include them in the program is issued.

According to the program’s official announcement, in addition to the income criteria and the age of the building—which are taken into account just as in previous rounds of the program— “the program’s primary objective is to support energy-vulnerable and affected population groups. Specifically, it includes separate incentives (an increased grant percentage and a special budget) for: supporting families with a member or members with disabilities, victims in Thessaly (including earthquake victims from the municipal community of Damasios in the Municipality of Tyrnavos), earthquake victims in Arkalochori and Samos, families with at least three dependent children, and vulnerable households.” Furthermore, “it is worth noting that heating degree days will be used as a criterion for evaluating the energy retrofit proposals submitted to the program, and priority will be given to the coldest regions of the country, given their specific needs.”
